Zoo Life

I love animals. I love flamingos the best, though.

As much as zoos aren’t the most PC and perfect environment for animals, I do enjoy the occasional visit.

I go to a zoo in Dudley, near Birmingham whenever I visit my friend down south. It’s a lovely little zoo with a wide variety of animals.

Initially, you have to get on a ski like chair lift to get in an extremely steep incline. It’s not always the highlight of the day, but for 3-5 minutes at dizzying heights, it’s manageable.

I met this cute little guy on a walkthrough. It was so exciting having the opportunity to be so up close and personal with these creatures!

Central Sensation

When taking photos, I LOVE it when objects are in the centre.

For me, it draws the eye to the centre piece of the image.

It’s so simple, yet highly effective.

When you look at a photo, your subconscious starts your eye to the top left of the image – as this is how you read.

So when taking photographs, I bear this in mind.

Light Trails

In photography, light trails are when you can see the pattern that is left from lights.

These can be done using your torch on your phone, a coloured filter over a light source, through a glass for added effects – anything. Although, you will need a camera, or camera equipment that allows you to alter the shutter speed.

A slower shutter speed allows the above effect. I usually have the shutter speed on 10 seconds. Doing so at night, gives a better effect than during the day. If you want lights, nighttime is the time.

These will need to be altered, depending on the amount of natural light you have.

Find a dark space, set up your camera and have fun!

You can literally spend hours playing around with these effects!

Life of the Rich and Famous

London is one of my favourite cities in England.

There’s something so compelling about the capital of England: the heritage and history, architecture and buildings, beautiful parks and scenery and of course, the fantastic entertainment!

My sister and I went to London for a mini break a few years ago. On one of the days, we decided to visit the most iconic place in London.

No, no. Not Buckingham palace.

Madame Tussaud’s.

We waited hours and hours to get into the wax work museum. And was it worth it..?

YES!
