I’ve been looking back through my photos that I have taken in and around my home town. All bring back memories, either of when I took them or who I was with. It’s been so lovely to recap on the good times and reflect on the life I lived before lockdown.

I was on the way to bingo when I took this photo, and my friend introduced me to the world of Lightroom. This is an editing app which I use on all my photos, either to turn into black and white or simply just to slightly enhance the colour within the image.

This was taken after work, on a walk in town. These steps simultaneously frighten and amaze me. The eerie, crooked steps which lie beneath my feet create a feel of an unknown and hidden threat that is dying to trip up anyone who walks on them, but equally welcomes fresh footsteps into its colourful and secret lair. It’s my favourite hidden alley of Newcastle.

As lockdown continues, and eases, but the world still seems at a confusing standstill, just remember your happy places, your friends and family – which you will be able to be reunited with again soon. Have patience, have faith, but most importantly – have and spread love.
